|China Displays Cutting-edge Space Technology at Paris||The current page: Home -> News|
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), one of the Fortune Global 500 firms, showcases its cutting-edge technology at Paris, including launch vehicles and satellites.
As latest generation launch vehicles, LM-7, together with LM-8, LM-6 and LM-11, are displayed in the CASC booth.
天堂视频The LM-7 is the medium-lift variant of a new generation launch vehicle family, with structure based on the reliable, man-rated LM-2F launch vehicle. It inherited the 3.35m-diameter core stage and 2.25-diameter liquid rocket boosters. Where the earlier LM-2 launch vehicle family used conventional propellants, the LM-7 uses LOX and kerosene. The goal was to build a more cost-effective and less hazardous launch vehicle family to replace the old generation of Long March family. It is capable of placing a 5.5ton payload into a sun-synchronous orbit.

The LM-8 launch vehicle, aiming for commercial market, will use non-toxic and pollution-free propellants. It is one type of China’s new-generation medium-sized launch vehicles. LM-8 will compete for missions of sending 5ton payload to a sun-synchronous orbit.
The LM-6 launch vehicle is a 3-stage liquid propellant launch vehicle, mainly used for various missions of SSO and LEO in the new generation launch vehicle, which supports a variety of launch types including single, multi-satellites launch, constellation networking and supplementing launch to satisfy different customers’ requirement.
The LM-11, which just made historical launch from sea platform on June 5, also appears at Paris along with models of legacy launch vehicles like LM-2D and LM-3B.
CASC’s commercial remote sensing satellite, DFH-5 telecommunication satellite and Mars probe are also displayed at Paris.
The DFH-5 satellite platform is a large trussed satellite platform of new-generation, developed by China itself. Its technical specifications reached an advanced world level. The DFH-5 has a launch mass of 8000 kg, payload of 1500 kg, providing 18 kilowatts payload power, high load, high power, high heat dissipation, long life, scalability, etc., using a truss structure, high power distribution systems, advanced electronics and integrated multi-mode high-thrust electric propulsion and other advanced technology to meet the needs of communications and other devices.
天堂视频 The DFH-3E small GEO platform is with all electric propulsion and suitable for small-size payload with mature technology and high-qualified research & development process, cost-efficient launch services and high-efficiency ground delivery schedule.
天堂视频As the leading force of China’s space industry, CASC will also introduce China’s BeiDou Navigation System, Three-step plan of manned spaceflight and lunar exploration projects here.
天堂视频 As a subsidiary of CASC, the China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) is the sole commercial organization authorized by the Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation.
Poster of CGWIC
Liu Qiang, chairman of CGWIC, told that China aerospace has a full chain of independent capabilities from space to ground, which ensures that it can customize mature and reliable products and services in various fields according to customer's requirements. CGWIC can provide an integrated solution for customers, including satellite, launch services, ground segment and applications. Financing, insurance placement, training and consulting services in support of the program are also available upon customer's request.
China's space products are increasingly competitive, and CGWIC has also been committed to gathering all kinds of space resources to develop more competitive and advanced products for the international market.
On China-EU space cooperation, Liu Qiang said that China's space industry attaches great importance to its relations with the European space industry. China and Europe have established extensive cooperation in the fields of launch services, satellites, manned space and deep space exploration, and it is believed that the two sides will have more space for cooperation in more fields in the future.
